Our new typeface family Pandera is out now! We finally tied up the whole package in OpenType-Format with extended features permitting access to alternate figures (lining and medieval numerals with proportional and tabular metrics respectively) and Small Caps alphabets.
Altogether the whole family comprises five weights and 15 styles including the Small Caps alphabets incorporated in each of the upright styles (Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black). The Italics feature different letterforms for appropriate characters that underline their dynamic and forward tending appeal. A further particularity lies in the fact that the Italics have the same tracking as their corresponding upright style versions. So "regular" and "italic" text will take exactly the same space.
Pandera offers extended language support embracing almost every Central European and Western language based on the Latin alphabet. The Latin basic character set was therefore enlarged by Unicode codepage Latin Extended-A + some characters required for Turkish.
With Pandera we expand our range by a further product meeting the requirements of sophisticated typography and presenting persuasive qualities in the context of contemporary typography – from magazines and catalogues to corporate design issues and even signage systems.
A more detailed review of the typeface’s caracteristics was first given in PAGE issue 02.2008 and the latest issue of “Deutscher Drucker”. A pdf-file can be downloaded on our website showing various text samples in different sizes.
